(NewsDakota.com) The campaign to raise enough funds to “Save The Grand Theatre” in Oakes has reached it’s goal of ,000 in order to upgrade the theatre to digital equipment to keep the doors open.

Oakes City Auditor April Haring announced Friday that the new digital equipment has been ordered and is in the process of being shipped. The current total of money raised stands at $90,224, and the equipment should arrive in six to eight weeks; possibly by the beginning of May; with a possible completion of instillation by the time Irrigation Days starts, which is schedule for early June. 

The idea of the campaign started in April of last year, however the big push to raise funds was ongoing since December.
