FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Winter storm watch Sunday evening into Monday evening. Snow will spread from west to east across the state. Wind will increase late Sunday and continue all day Monday. Strongest wind gusts expected along and west of the Red River Valley Monday.

6 or more inches of snow possible with heavier amounts in northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. Blowing and drifting snow will reduce visibility in the open country especially west of the Red River Valley into Monday.

It does include the cities of Langdon, Devils Lake, Grafton, Grand Forks, Cooperstown, Finley, Mayville, Valley City, Fargo, Lisbon and Wahpeton.

According to the Bismarck National Weather Service office a Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon.

Moderate to heavy snow possible Sunday with blizzard conditions possible Sunday night into Monday morning.

This storm has the potential to impact travel across North Dakota. Some of the cities included are Jamestown, Carrington, Harvey, Bismarck, Steele, Fort Yates, Linton, Napoleon, Edgedley, Ellendale and Oakes.
