and FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The first full week in March begins with more snowfall for the region.
The National Weather Service’s winter storm warning went into effect last night and continues through Tuesday morning for a system that is expected to dump the heaviest amounts of snow in eastern North Dakota and across a portion of Minnesota including the Twin Cities, down into northeastern Iowa.
Parts of North Dakota, especially in the north and east could see anywhere from 8 to 12 inches of snow, with the highest amounts in Devils Lake, Grand Forks, Mayville, Fargo and Wahpeton.
Blizzard warnings have been posted in parts of the state near the Canadian border and regionally, six to 10 inches with isolated amounts of 12 inches were forecast from central through southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin into northern Iowa.
