CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Hi-Liner girls and boys basketball teams will both be playing in EDC Tournament play-in games on Saturday.

The Valley City boys are the No. 10 seed and will play at 2 p.m. Saturday in Devils Lake against the No. 7 Firebirds. Valley City’s lone EDC win this year came against Devils Lake.

The Hi-Liners girls are the No. 7 seed and will host a play-in game Saturday. The Hi-Liners will play No. 10 Grand Forks Central at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Hi-Liner Activity Center. Valley City beat Grand Forks Central in their one meeting earlier this season.

Both the boys and girls games will be broadcast on KOVC 1490. Kyle Hewitt will have the call of the boys game with pregame starting at about 1:45 p.m. Mark Potts will have play-by-play action from the girls game beginning with pregame at about 6:45 p.m.
