N.D. (NewsDakota.com) North Dakota Game and Fish Department officials say hunter education classes are filling up quickly.
Officials say there’s high demand for classes held before June because hunters need to complete the course before the deer application deadline.
And Barnes County Wildlife Club spokesman Perry Kapaun agrees that demand is high and adds that the number of youth and female hunters has increased over the last few years.
Classes in Barnes County will be held March 11 through March 21 at the Rhodes Science Center on the Valley City State University campus. For more info call Skip Pedersen at 845-3211 or 845-1999.
Hunter education is mandatory for youth who are turning 12 years old. Interested hunters can also sign up online at www.gf.nd.gov under the online services tab or call the Game & Fish Department at 701-328-6615.
