Milton Scott, 80, of Edgeley, ND, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley.

     Milton G. Scott was born on May 14th, 1932 in LaMoure County, ND to Walter and Rose (Pope) Scott. He grew up and completed elementary school in Merricourt, ND and graduated from High School in Edgeley, ND in 1952. Milton grew up and worked on his parents’ farm near Merricourt. In 1975 he bought the farm and continued farming until 1988 when due to health reasons he rented out the land, and remained living there until 1992. Milton became a resident of the Manor St. Joseph in Edgeley where he resided until his death on February 18th, 2013. One of Milts many attributes was being able to visit with anyone and reminisce about the “good old days”. He was very fond of animals, especially cats. He had a name for each and every one of them. Milton enjoyed reading books, gardening and helping tend to his mom’s flowers. Milt took part in all community events and enjoyed playing cards at the C-store.

     Grateful for having shared his life are his four brothers, Arnold (Lorine) Scott of Hettinger, ND, Clinton (LaVerne) Scott of Jamestown, ND, Clifford Scott of Denver, CO, Lyle (Joyce) Scott of Dickinson, ND, and Sister-in-law Delores Scott of Miles City, MT and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Preceding Milton in death were his parents, Walter and Rose Scott, his brother, Orvan Scott, and his sister-in-law, Arlene Scott.

     Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Manor St. Joseph Chapel, Edgeley with Pastor Joddy Meidinger officiating.

     Visitation: One hour before the service at the chapel.

     Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
