N.D. (AP) – Microsoft could expand its Fargo-based campus as early as 2015.
The Forum reports (http://bit.ly/15pIx6F) that the computer giant’s local branch is running near 100 percent capacity in its three buildings.
Site leader Don Morton says that with significant growth projected, Microsoft may consider adding two new buildings to the campus.
But Morton would not comment on details of an expansion.
An estimated 1,800 people work at the Microsoft campus now. This is double the number of employees who worked at the Fargo Great Plains Software campus before it was acquired by Microsoft in 2001. Morton says the company’s long-term plan calls for 2,700 people to work at the Fargo campus.
