(NewsDakota.com)- For the second time in eight days, the Jimmies and the Vikings will meet on the hardwood. Tonight’s match-up is at the Civic Center in conjunction with Family Fun Night put on by Jamestown College.
Alumni Director Dustin Jensen who is in charge of the event said it will be a great opportunity for families to bring their kids out to the game.
Of course, there will also be a pair of high-level basketball games played as well. It will be the third meeting between Jamestown College and Valley City St. on the men’s side and the second on the women’s.
In the last 16 days each of the men’s teams has taken a game from the other. In the Dakota Tip-off Classic the Jimmies won 69-66 and last Wednesday the Vikings won 69-64. Each winning on their home floor. VCSU is currently ranked No. 19 in the NAIA Top-25.
The women have played just once with No. 13 JC winning after a dominating first-half performance where they entered the break up 44-21 en route to a 81-64 victory. They met four times last year with the Vikings, who have fallen out the top-25, winning the finale in the AII Tournament.
Tip-off for the women’s game is scheduled for 5:30pm and the men to follow. You can hear the broadcast of the game across the Dakota Country Radio Network.
