(NewsDakota.com) The Carrington boys basketball team was in action last night against district seven foe Harvey/Wells County. The Hornets upset the Cards 46-39. The Cards drop to 13-2 overall, 3-2 in district seven, HWC improves to 11-5 overall, 4-1 in district seven.
Carrington was led by Soph. Seth Abaurrea with 13 points, followed by Sr. Austin Johnson with 11. Sr. Alex Nelson had eight points, four assists and four rebounds.
Carrington shot 15/43 for 34% from the field, 3/21 for 14% from beyond the arch and 6/12 for 50% from the charity stripe.
Next up for the Cards will be this Friday night against another district seven team Lakota/Adams-Edmore in Carrington at 7:30p tip-off. Pregame can be heard around 7p on AM 1600 KDAK.
