N.D. (Prairie Public News) – A bill in the North Dakota Legislature could soon allow bars and off-sale liquor establishments to open as early as 10 a.m. on Sundays.

The bill, would however, leave it up to the local communities to decide when the bars and liquor stores open.

Mike Rud represents the North Dakota Petroleum Marketers and he says many convenience stores have been selling beer – and the demand for an earlier opening is there.

After a recommendation in committee, the bill will now go to the House floor.
