(NewsDakota.com) A night after the Oakes High School boys basketball team rallied in the second half to beat Fairmount-Campbell-Tintah, the girls basketball team did the exact same thing to the Rebels on Friday night winning 62-56.

Oakes was down by as many as 17 at one point in the early third quarter, but the rally soon began shortly thereafter. The Tornadoes outscored F-C-T 18-13 in the third and 12-10 in the final quarter to earn the come from behind victory.

The Tornadoes (6-5 2-1 District 1) had six players score during the contest, and were lead by Nicole Warren’s 26 points. Karlie Knutson finished with 14. F-C-T (3-6 1-3 District 1) had 16 from Jayden Rittenour.

Next up for Oakes is a home game Saturday with LaMoure-Litchville/Marion, with the next District 1 game Thursday night in Forman against Sargent Central.
