(NewsDakota.com) The schedule Thursday and Friday has and will be jam packed of Oakes High School athletic teams in competition.

Thursday evening the wrestling team had their final regular season duel of the year, and came out on top over Linton-HMB by a 41-30 margin. The wrestlers are back on the mats Friday and Saturday competing at the East-West tournament in New Salem.

The boys basketball team also played on Thursday night and earned a big 69-65 victory against Fairmount-Campbell-Tintah. Oakes was down 12 points in the third quarter, but rallied in the final eight minutes to hold off the Rebels and improve to 2-4 in District 1 play.

The Oakes girls basketball team hosts F-C-T Friday night with tip around 7:30. Coverage starts at 7:15 on KDDR and NewsDakota.com. On Saturday, both basketball teams will take on LaMoure-Litchville/Marion, while the wrestlers continue in New Salem.
