CITY (NewsDakota.com) – It will be a rematch for the Girls Barnes County Tournament championship Saturday afternoon.

Top seed Valley City and defending champion Maple Valley both won their semifinal games Friday night, setting up a championship rematch which Maple Valley won last year by a score of 52-46.

Valley City was highly impressive Friday in a 70-33 victory over Sargent Central, and Maple Valley won a gritty 42-35 victory against Enderlin.

In other action Friday, LaMoure-Litchville-Marion beat Barnes County North 42-28, and Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page pulled away in the second half of a 47-24 victory over Griggs County Central.

Saturday’s action begins with Griggs County Central and Barnes County North playing for seventh place at noon. FSHp and LaMoure will play at about 1:30 p.m. for fifth place. In the third place game, Enderlin takes on Sargent Central at about 3 p.m. And in the championship, Valley City and Maple Valley are set to tip off at about 4:30 p.m.

All four games can be heard on Q101.1 Coverage begins at 11:30 a.m.
