(NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals were in action tonight against district seven opponent Midkota Mustangs. The Cards beat the Mustangs 75-45. The #5 Cards improve to 11-0 overall, 3-0 in district seven. Midkota drops to 1-11 overall, 0-4 in the district.
Carrington started with an early 26-9 lead at the end to the first quarter and remained ahead throughout the entire game. The Cards were led by Senior Center Scott Burnham with 18 points. Followed by Senior Guard Taylor Skytland with 13. Carrington had 11 turnovers, their defense caused 29. Seniors Joey Kubal and Casey Murphy had seven and six points off the bench respectively.
The Mustangs were led by Senior Forward Austin Monson with 15.
Next up for the Carrington boys is Friday, January 18th against Central Cass in Casselton. Its a boys and girls double header. Boys varsity tips off at 6:15p, girls varsity at 7:45p. Both games can be heard on AM 1600 KDAK around 5:45p pregame.
