CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The nationally-ranked Valley City State men’s and women’s basketball teams picked up another pair of victories Friday night against Northern New Mexico.

The No. 20-ranked Viking men led by 12 and answered every run Northern New Mexico made in the second half. Sekani Milligen scored 17 points to lead VCSU. Gus Kueber had 16 and John Raquel added 14 for the Vikings, who improve to 13-4 this season.

In the women’s game, VCSU got 12 points each from Katelyn Ralston and Ashli Lee as they coasted to a 65-46 win. The No. 12-ranked Viking women move to 14-2 this season.

Both the Viking men and women are in action again Saturday against Johnson and Wales. The women are scheduled to tip at 2 p.m. at the W. E. Osmon Fieldhouse with the men to follow at 4 p.m.
