CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A Wimbledon man is lucky to be alive after passerby spotted a man laying on the side of a road near his vehicle earlier this week southeast of Wimbledon.

Barnes County Chief Deputy Don Fiebiger said 63-year-old Alvin Lee Alderman was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment on Monday.

Fiebiger said alcohol was a factor in this incident and Alderman was cited for Actual Physical Control of his vehicle.
