CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City State men’s and women’s basketball teams are on the road at an old conference foe Monday night, taking on former Dakota Athletic Conference opponent South Dakota School of Mines.

The women’s game begins at 6:30 p.m. CST with the men to follow about 8:30 p.m. Radio coverage of the games can be heard on KOVC 1490 and NewsDakota.com starting at about 6:15 p.m. Tom Rudebusch, the Voice of the Hardrockers, will have the play-by-play call.

Valley City State’s men are coming off a 92-82 road victory Sunday night over Oglala College. They are now 12-4 on the season. The Hardrocker men enter the game with a 10-6 record.

The Viking women handled Minnesota-Morris in their last contest Friday night, 65-39. VCSU is now 12-2 on the season. The Lady Hardrockers are 9-6.

South Dakota School of Mines is now an NCAA Division II program. The men’s game is an exhibition game for VCSU, but the women’s is a regular season game for VCSU.
