(NewsDakota.com) After a few days off from a solid performance in the Dakota Holiday Tournament, the Oakes High School boys basketball team heads back to play Friday night; and the Tornadoes head to Milnor to take on the Bison as their District 1 schedule resumes.

Oakes is 1-6 so far this season with an 0-2 mark in District 1 play. The two district losses featured a 46-35 loss at home versus Hankinson on December 7, and a 58-24 defeat at Lisbon on December 13.

Conversely, the Bison are 2-0 in district play with two solid wins; 70-56 over North Sargent on December 7 and in their last game before Christmas break, a 65-34 trouncing of Sargent Central. Overall, Milnor is 4-2 and has won two in a row since finishing third at the Barnes County Boys Basketball Tournament last month.
