LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 76-year-old Devils Lake man has died following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday evening about six miles southeast of Devils Lake.

The man, who has yet to be identified by the Highway Patrol pending notification of family, was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 2 about six miles southeast of Devils Lake when he struck the left side of a Freightliner that was attempting to cross the highway.

The 76-year-old man died in the crash and the male driver of the Freightliner was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Patrol.
