N.D. (KFGO) A former patient at the Fargo V.A. Medical Center is accused of having marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his hospital room.

Robert Burdick of Montpelier, North Dakota is charged with failing to comply with regulations that prohibit possessing and using marijuana on V.A. property.

Court documents say the contraband, including a scale, was found by a nurse and turned over to V.A. police. Testing showed two positive hits for marijuana. Burdick is due to appear in federal court on Thursday.
