CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The 29th annual Buck Show was held Monday night at the Eagles Club in Valley City.
The annual show put on by the Barnes County Wildlife Federation and numerous volunteers features some of the biggest bucks taken during the deer gun hunting season in the area. A total of 22 bucks were scored on Monday night. To be eligible to win, a buck must have been taken in Barnes County or by a member of the Barnes County Wildlife Federation.
Dana Noot had the top buck in the Seniors category, scoring 148 3/8 inches on his typical whitetail deer. Second went to Greg Enstad, and third went to Tori Eggert, who had a large non-typical rack that scored 164 4/8 inches.
In the Juniors division, Samara Hansen had the top buck. Her 4-by-4 scored 117 3/8 inches. Complete results from the show are below, courtesy of Trevar Hansen.
