Richards, 85, of LaMoure, North Dakota, passed away November 20, 2012 at the Palliative Care Unit in South Sanford Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota.

Edna was born to Samuel and Lydia (Rott) Pfaff on September 10, 1927 at home in McIntosh county. In 1957, she married Frank Richards Sr. The Richards opened Frank’s Body Shop in 1959, and in 1960 they moved into LaMoure, where they made their home and relocated their business to the old Ford garage. Edna operated the upholstery part of the business while Frank worked on engines. Frank passed away on March 13, 1981, and Edna continued to make her home in LaMoure. In the last year, she had become a resident of the St. Rose Care Center. Edna enjoyed crocheting doilies and afghans.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Richards Jr. and John Richards; one brother, Ervin Pfaff; and several nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Jacob and Matthias, and four sisters, Leona, Alvina, Mary, and Esther.

Her funeral will be Friday, November 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Lamoure, with burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery near LaMoure. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
