CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Sandra Hansen accepted the offer by Valley City to become the city assessor earlier this month.

Hansen recently worked for the Barnes County Tax Equalization office. She also worked as the editor of the Valley City Times Record several years ago.

Hansen and her husband Scott live in rural Valley City. The couple have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. Hansen replaces Nick Lee who accepted a similar job in another city earlier this year.
