Glenn Feuerherm, 63, Valley City, North Dakota died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Sanford Health, Fargo, North Dakota.  Mike was born September 21, 1949 at Carrington, North Dakota, the son of Ernest and Carol (Hanft) Feuerherm.   Mike worked with his dad as a brick tender in his high school years.  He graduated from VCHS in 1967.  Mike then worked on oil rigs in Wyoming and Texas before entering the US Navy.  He was stationed on the USS Samuel Gompers during Vietnam.  He married Deb Nielsen August 21, 1971 at Valley City.  Following Mike’s 4 years of service, he and Deb made their home in Valley City.          

Mike was employed at TRI W-G in Valley City for 29 years.  In his free time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Mike was a master craftsman.  He loved woodworking.  Most of all, Mike enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids fishing.  He taught his grandkids how to shine nightcrawlers and how to catch snapping turtles.          

Mike is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deborah; daughters, Kristi (Ken) Felchle, Soldotna, Alaska; Kimberly (Aaron) Bishop, Las Vegas, Nevada; Tara (Jason) Moore, Wasilla, Alaska and a son, Todd (Liliana) Feuerherm, San Tan Valley, Arizona; grandchildren, Connor and Carter Felchle; Sydni, Kenzi and Averi Bishop; Randy Feuerherm and Lucy Moore.  He is also survived by his brother, Ed Feuerherm, Valley City; a sister, Sally (Feuerherm) Hollar, MoorPark, California; and mother-in-law, Myla Nielsen, Valley City.          

A memorial service along with a time for sharing will be 7 pm Tuesday, November 20, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City, with Rev. Randy Schlecht officiating.  Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery at 11am Wednesday along with military honors.
