Malec, age 35 of Valley City died Sunday at Valley City.  The family will greet friends at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home from 5 PM until 7 PM Wednesday, Nov. 21st and at 7 PM a Service of Remembrance will be conducted with Rev. Dayne Zachrison officiating.  Burial will be later on in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Darin is survived by his parents Don and Pat Malec, grandparents Clyde M. Kinslow and Hjordis Campbell, children Ariyana and Kaynen Malec, a sister Dawn (Brent) Thomsen, 2 nieces Alyssa and Chesney, aunts Mary Holsen, Edith (Randy) Johnson, Deb (James) Hegdahl, Rachel (Rory) McLeod, uncles Clyde L. (Audrey) Kinslow, Logan Kinslow, John Kinslow, and Pete Kinslow, and numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Catherine Schroeder and Stan and Ruth Malec, and an uncle, Allan Kinslow.
