(NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City State volleyball season came to a close Friday during the pool play portion of the A.I.I. Postseason Tournament.

The Vikings were defeated by Ashford (Iowa) and Jamestown College in pool play, eliminating them from the tournament.

Ashford defeated the Vikings 25-16, 25-15, 25-12. Jamestown knocked off VCSU by scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-17.

Jamestown College and Cal State San Marcos were the top two teams at the A.I.I. Tournament and advance to the National Tournament.

VCSU ends the season 15-22. They graduate just one senior: Valley City native Jill Noeske.
