LAKE (NewsDakota.com) In the Region 4 Championship game on Thursday night (Nov. 8th), Langdon Area defeated Carrington 3-2 (24-26, carr 25-21, carr 25-13,18-25,11-15). Carrington drops to 31-8 overall and ends their season, Langdon area improves to 32-9 overall and moves on to the State Volleyball Tourney in Minot November 15th-17th. Langdon will play Region 6 champion Our Redeemer’s Christian School in the first round of the state tournament at 8 p.m. this Thursday at the Minot State University Dome.
The Cards had 49 total kills, led by Kayla Hochhalter with 15 and Madison Wendel with 13. Service aces were led by Wendel and Hochhalter with two apiece, seven total. Total stuff blocks Carrington had nine, Breanna Barton and Wendel had four each. Josey Page led the way with 27 assists. Carrington served 87%.
Emily Berge of Midkota was the Region 4 Senior Athlete of the Year.
In the third place game, Rolla beat Benson County 3-1.
