Michaelson, 97, of Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Fleance was born on March 5, 1915, in Columbus, ND, the daughter of Rev. Samuel and Jennie (Russell) Umphrey.  She married Emerald Olafson and to that union they had three children, Joann, Jimmy, and Janet.  After Emerald died, she married John Michaelson. 

Fleance took great pride in being a homemaker.  She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family.  She was especially known for her fried dough treats.

Fleance is survived by her children, Joann Spuhr, Jimmy Olafson, and Janet Doharty; sister, Joy Skeel; and nephew, Dennis Michaelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and nine siblings.

Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Ave Marie Village Chapel, Jamestown.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
