the Fargo Shanley Deacons played the Grafton Spoilers for the Class 2A

Championship.  The Deacons took down the Spoilers 14-8.  Shanley

improves to 10-2 overall.

The Deacons scored first at the five minute mark, Chase

Montplaisir passed it to Dan Arnold for a 59 yard touchdown making

it 7-0 Fargo Shanley at the half.

In the second half, after a long pass completion by the Spoilers, Shanley’s defense 

came up big and caused a fumble near the goal line near the end of the 

third quarter.  Then with just under seven minutes remaining, Montplaisir

passed it to Dan Arnold from 20 yards out making it 14-0 Deacons.

Then on the next drive for the Spoilers, Christian Lunde would run it

in from 46 yards out making it 14-8 Deacons the final.
