N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two Tennessee natives were injured in a crash yesterday afternoon near Wahpeton, including a two-year-old boy.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Old Highway 13 and Highway 13 in Richland County, 51-year-old Minnesota man Wayne Waytashek was eastbound on Highway 13 when 25-year-old Tennessee woman Seirra Hummel turned onto Highway 13 westbound.

Waytashek struck Hummel’s vehicle, causing it to spin into the median as well as several rollovers.

Hummel, along with her two-year-old male passenger, were then transported to the hospital and treated for injuries.

Hummel’s vehicle was totaled and she was issued a citation in the incident. The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
