(NewsDakota.com) The second season starts Thursday night for the Oakes High School volleyball team as they start their run in the playoffs with the opening round of the District 1 tournament.

Oakes finished as the number one seed, and will not only be home for their opening round contest against F-C-T, but are also the hosting the second and third rounds of the District 1 and all of the Region 1 tournament games. The top four teams from Districts 1 and 2 will make up the Region 1 tourney. 

The other matchups in District 1’s first round are Milnor hosting Hankinson, North Sargent welcoming Wyndmere/Lidgerwood, and Sargent Central traveling to Lisbon. All first round games will start at 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
