(NewsDakota.com)- LaMoure and Ellendale earned opening round byes and will just have to win one game to punch their ticket to the Region III tournament. That means neither team will play in the opening day of districts.

With just six teams in the District there will be two matches Thursday and Friday and then three region qualifiers on Monday.

The first day of action will begin with Litchville-Marion-Montpelier against Edgeley-Kulm at 6:00pm. The second match will feature Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal and Barnes County North.

The winner of LMM and EK will get Ellendale on Friday and PBK/BCN winner will play LaMoure.

The six teams will play region qualifiers on Monday.

All the games will broadcast on TED-FM 98.3 starting at 5:45 on Thursday.
