(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School volleyball team has already locked up the number one seed for the District 1 tournament which starts this week. 

They also host the tournament this year, so Monday’s regular season finale is for pride, or bragging rights in Dickey County, or whatever cliche makes the most sense.

Oakes heads to Ellendale to battle the Cardinals in a District 1/District 5 matchup. After Monday’s contest, the Tornadoes will host F-C-T to start the District 1 tournament which starts Thursday.

Coverage on KDDR 1220 AM/95.9 FM on Monday night starts around 7:15 with the first serve of the first match of the game around 7:30 from Ellendale.
