(NewsDakota)- The Jamestown College men’s soccer team was knocked from the ranks of the unbeaten on Saturday when they were beaten by Great Falls (MT), 2-1.

Great Falls scored twice in the opening 11 minutes of the game and had to hold on for dear life as the Jimmies tried to close the gap. Christan Johnson scored both early goals for Great Falls.

Jamestown College got a goal in the 81st minute from Jade Johnson to cut the lead in half. The Jimmies spent most of the day with control of the ball in the Great Falls end, but they couldn’t recover from their slow start.

The men fall to 10-1 on the season.

The JC women’s soccer team grabbed a pair of wins. Great Falls and the Jimmies played twice with the Jimmies winning both.

They won 3-1 on Saturday and again 2-1 on Sunday. That improves JC record to 7-4-1.

Both teams will play Rocky Mountain College on Sunday the 7th.
