CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) He served with the North Dakota Game & Fish Department for 39 years as a District Game Warden and produced a weekly “Sportsman’s Report” Saturday mornings on KOVC Radio.

Del Tibke kicked off his Saturday program with “Morning Sportsmen” and concluded every program with “Obey the rules and enjoy the great outdoors.”

Tibke was a leader in establishing a lasting memorial to honor Game Wardens and the fallen Conservation Officers killed in the line of duty.

Tibke worked to establish an international Game Warden Museum at the International Peace Gardens. He also served as the first President of the North American Game Warden Museum.

Funeral services for the 82-year-old Tibke will be held at 1pm Tuesday, October 2 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Valley City.
