(NewsDakota.com) – Coming off a big EDC victory Thursday at Grand Forks Central, the Hi-Liner volleyball team continued its roll Saturday with a Consolation Championship at the Enderlin/Lisbon Tournament.

Valley City’s lone loss of the day came during a pool play match against Milnor. After finishing second in their pool, Valley City went 3-0 in bracket play to earn the Consolation Championship in the Enderlin side of the tournament.

In bracket play, the Hi-Liners defeated Griggs County Central 26-24, 26-24; knocked off Webster, S.D., 25-18, 25-23; and then downed Sargent Central in the Consolation Championship by a score of 25-19, 25-23.

Valley City (13-11, 3-6 EDC) is in action again Tuesday night for a one-point EDC match at Devils Lake. Valley City swept Devils Lake earlier his season.

Central Cass won the Lisbon Championship and Kindred won the Enderlin Championship. Kindred then defeated Central Cass 25-12, 25-21 in the overall championship.

Maple Valley went 2-2 on the weekend, losing out in the Lisbon Consolation Tournament.
