(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown Blue Jays made it to a state qualifying match before getting upended in the West Region Tournament.

They opened the tournament matched up with Bismarck Century. The Patriots took down the Jays with ease, 5-0. Century was seeded No. 2 in the tourney.

After the first round loss the Jays matched up with Dickinson. Having just beaten the Midgets 7-2 a week ago, Jamestown came out on top, 4-1.

The win set them up in a state qualifier with Bismarck High. The Demons were able to get a 4-1 victory to advance to the state tournament.

Individual play continues today in Bismarck.
