(NewsDakota.com) After taking their first loss of the 2012 season, the Oakes High School football team heads on their longest road trip of the year on Friday night, as they sojourn to Steele to battle the Kidder County Pirates.
The Tornadoes (3-1 2-1 Region 1) fell by a touchdown, 14-7 last Friday night at home to Northern Cass, who has now taken the #5 spot in the latest Class A poll. Maple Valley Enderlin moved into the top five this week to #4.
Oakes fell out of the top five due to the loss, but did manage to receive three votes in the weekly poll. They will have the opportunity to get back to playing a more complete game against the Pirates, who are at the bottom of the standings in Region I with an 0-3 start, and 0-4 overall.
