(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School volleyball team improved to 3-0 in District 1 play after going to Fairmount on Thursday night, by taking down the F-C-T Rebels three games to one.

Oakes won games one, two and four of the match by scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-17, but couldn’t pull off the sweep of the Rebels, as F-C-T won game three 25-18.

The Tornadoes have now won five matches in a row, tournaments excluded, and now head off to the Valley City tournament this weekend. Their next direct competition is Thursday September 20 at home versus Wyndmere/Lidgerwood.
