CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Charlie Brown Field will be getting new stadium lights this fall.

Parks & Recreation Director Tyler Jacobson says the estimated cost of the project, $127,000 and work should start this fall.

The Valley City School board approved of chipping in $18,500 for the project through the districts building fund during a Tuesday board meeting.

Jacobson says $50,000 will come from the city Food & Beverage sales tax fund. The Park District will pick up $35,000, Valley City State will also throw in $18,500 and $6,000 from local gaming funds.
