N.D. (AP) – Vehicle traffic was kept out of the airport in North Dakota’s largest city for more than an hour on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks because of a bomb threat.

The incident Tuesday afternoon did not affect flights, but authorities kept traffic out of Hector International while local and federal authorities investigated. That was a headache for some arriving passengers looking for taxi rides or hotel vans.

Police Lt. Joel Vettel says authorities were more diligent than usual in their investigation because of the date.

Nothing suspicious was found and no arrests were made.
