(NewsDakota.com)- Even when it looked like Century had the match locked up the Jays refused to go away. With the Patriots leading 14-4 in the final set, the Jays rattled four straight points to make it interesting, before falling 15-8.
Jamestown opened the match with a first set win, 25-20. Patriots had jumped ahead early before the Jays opened up a late lead. Megan Orr had two runs of four points during the set.
Century would go on to take the next two sets; 25-22 and 27-25. The third set was by far the most interesting. Jamestown held a 24-22 lead before the Patriots rallied, the Jays even for a moment had the set won before a long delay overturned the call. Century closed the third-set winning five of the last six points.
Trailing two-to-one the Blue Jays rallied to force a fifth and final set. In the final set, it was all Century early as they rolled to a 15-8 win.
Jamestown is 10-4 on the season. They will be back in action Thursday at Dickinson. KQDJ-AM will broadcast their game from Bismarck High on Tuesday night.
