(NewsDakota.com) After a rough start at the beginning of the season, the Oakes High School Volleyball team has been on a roll; especially when it comes to going up against fellow opponents in Class B District 1.

The Tornadoes improved to 2-0 in the District and 3-1 overall after heading to Lisbon on Thursday night and winning their match in four games by scores of 25-16, 25-23, 22-25 and 25-17. Lisbon falls to 0-4 overall, and 0-2 in District 1.

Next up for Oakes is a non-district match in LaMoure on September 11.
