(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown College volleyball team ran into some trouble to start the Corn Palace Classic in Mitchell, SD before winning 12 of their next 13 sets to finish the weekend 4-0.

Jimmies dropped the opening sets against Sioux Falls, before rallying to take down the Cougars in five sets.

After beating the Cougars in five sets, it was all Jimmies the rest of the weekend. Later on Friday they beat the tournament’s host, Dakota Wesleyan in straight sets. 

Saturday they matched up with York and Mount Mary, they dropped one set to York otherwise rolled to a perfect day.

Jamestown College is 8-2 on the year.

Jimmies will host the Comets of Mayville State tomorrow night at the Hansen Center. They game will be broadcast on KQDJ-AM 1400/97.1 FM and streamed on NewsDakota.com. The game starts at 7pm.
