CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner girls cross-country team won a four-team event hosted by Valley City State University Friday afternoon at the Valley City Town and Country Club.

Team scores were not available, but the Hi-Liners defeated Jamestown by seven points to win the event.

April Berntson won the girls division, while Mikaylah Ross and Barbara Zubrod added top-five finishes.

On the boys side, Casey Engelhard finished fourth, with Nathan Johnson finishing 12th.  The Hi-Liner boys were incomplete as a team.

Next up for the Hi-Liners will be a run in Moorhead this Saturday, with Fargo North, Fargo South, Fargo Davies, Fargo Shanley, and West Fargo also attending.  The Hi-Liners run at home on September 15th in the Bill Jansen Blue-White Invitational September 15th.
