(NewsDakota.com) – A District 12 candidate meet and greet is planned Sept. 10 at Jamestown College.
Candidates for the North Dakota District 12 Senate and House races have been invited to be on hand to meet voters and answer their questions. District 12 includes the city of Jamestown.
Jill Schlenker is with the Jamestown chapter of the American Association of University women, which is hosting the event. She says their main purpose to help attract younger voters.
People will also be on hand to answer any questions regarding voting in the state. All ages are welcome to attend the event. The meet and greet is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 10 in the Nafus Student Center, Level 2.
District 12 has three contested races on the November ballot. Democrat John Grabinger is facing Republican Bernie Satrom in the race for the District 12 Senate seat. Democrats Jessica Haak and incumbent Lyle Hanson are running for the House seats against Republicans Ken Hall and Alex Looysen.
