(NewsDakota.com) – After nearly 12 months in Kuwait, the 188th Engineer Company of the North Dakota National Guard will return to the state Friday.

The National Guards says the 160 soldiers will arrive on two flights landing in Fargo at about 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Friday. The 188th features soldiers from about 70 different communities, but is based in Wahpeton and Oakes. They were overseas on a construction-based mission.

The Patriot Guard is planning to form a Flag Line at the Fargo Airport to meet the returning soldiers. Locally, anyone who is willing to ride or drive is asked to meet at Perkins in Jamestown on Friday morning between 8 and 9 a.m. The group will leave Jamestown at 9 a.m. to meet the guardsmen in Fargo.
