(NewsDakota.com)- Blue Jay freshman Sierra Bennion came out firing yesterday at the East-West Classic. Playing a course she knows well, the Jamestown Country Club, Bennion put behind a tough first day and shot a Day 2 low 75.
The 75 was good enough to move her into third place in the individual competition. Unfortunately, her team dropped a spot and finished 10th. Her 87 on Day 1 had her in 14th place.
Fargo Davies took the the two top individual spots as well as the team title, almost 34 shots ahead of Fargo North.
Valley City finished 15th with a 1,110.
The Jays are back in action on Saturday morning in Bismarck.
