(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown High School’s girl’s golf team was in ninth place following the first day of East-West Classic on Monday at the Jamestown Country Club.
The Blue Jays shot a 417 as a team Monday, putting them in ninth out of 17 teams. Fargo Davies held a commanding lead after shooting a 325, which was 22 shots better than second place Fargo North (347).
Valley City was in 15th after shooting a 510 the first day. Allyson Meyer of Davies and Cassidy St. Germain of Fargo South both shot 79 on the first day to lead the individual race.
Jamestown’s Sierra Bennion carded an 87, good for 14th after day one. Also for Jamestown, Maria LeFevre shot a 90 to be in a tie for 16th.
Valley City’s Kassidy Ronningen was the top Hi-Liner with a 118 on day one.
Day two of the meet is Tuesday.
