(NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County residents can now receive local emergency alerts through CodeRED notifications to their phones.
All residential lines are already set up to receive emergency alerts from the county. Business lines, cell phone lines and email addresses can be signed up for free through Stutsman County’s web site.
All phone lines are also capable of receiving free weather alerts through the system. For weather alerts, all residents must sign up their phone line using Stutsman County’s web site.
Stutsman County emergency manager Jerry Bergquist says the county will initiate a test of the CodeRED system Thursday afternoon.
